The source material is dark as hell, but David Dominè does a beautiful job of lightening the book with interesting people, side stories, and himself. I had the pleasure of meeting the author in the Spring of this year he was our tour guide of Olde Louisville and he stopped in front of the house mentioned in the book and proceeded to tell us he wrote a book about the house across the street and it was a true story of sex and murder and was due to be released in October and showed us a copy of the cover on his phone I told him sounded like Hollywood would come knocking David replied as long as I get a cameo! David paints a beautiful book detailing the crime from beginning to end. As I read this book, I felt like I was side by side with him through the evolution of the case. From the twisted murder mystery to the interesting true characters to the history of Old Louisville to the cliff hangers at the end of the chapters!! I absolutely loved it!! At times I was on the edge of my seat wondering what what going to happen next in the trials while at other times I was laughing out loud at some of the stories and people in this story. The interjected history of the town was fascinating as well! Being from the area, I had no idea of much of the history of this town. Do yourself a favor and get this book now!!
